Sorry that I can't show a screen capture due to the policy --
But it's really a simple graph -- w/ just one measure (numbers) on the Y-axis and http:// links (one dimension) on the X-axis. Dates (09/01/16 to 09/30/16) are brought in from excel -- either to show on X-axis or show on Tooltip (dates in Excel are already sorted correctly).
But once they are in Tableau -- no matter how the dates are sorted (even w/ manual sorting to enforce the correct order -- 9/1, 9/2, 9/3...), on X-axis or Tooltip, the dates are still displaying in a random order like 9/26, 9/6, 9/13, 9/27... -- my version of tableau is 9.3.4. What's happened?
Also, why couldn't I create a dual axis for both "http links and dates"? In fact, the Edit Axis option is not even available on the X-axis, very strange!
Without seeing your data we can not give you any solution on the fly? We're not asking you to send your original data just mock up some dummy data and share. Just make the format similar to your original data with modified values. Send the excel with minimum 20 records or connect this data to tableau and send the .twbx workbook.
