# How to use Sum Number of Records in a Percentage? Formula INCLUDED.

Hello,

I have the following formula that works but gives me a Number (Decimal) result but I would like it to appear as a percentage and I think it has something to do with it using Number of Records.

(ZN(SUM([Number of Records])) - LOOKUP(ZN(SUM([Number of Records])), -1)) / ABS(LOOKUP(ZN(SUM([Number of Records])), -1))

This formula is used to calculate Year over Year change but I can't seem to get it so the result appears as a percentage.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

You are already getting a decimal back so I think you should just simply change number format, no? • ###### 2. Re: How to use Sum Number of Records in a Percentage? Formula INCLUDED.

Hi Sam, does the result come in as a decimal? If so, you can just edit the number format to show it as a percentage.

Haha, I think I changed the format for another calculation since they were named very similar. Yes, formatting to percentage works, haha!

Thanks guys!
