# Sub Total divide by Grand Total as %

Hi

Is there any way to show subtotal divided by grand total as a percentage.

To give some context for example please see the attached word document.

Thank you

Hi Hamel, if you use the Quick Table Calculation called "Percent of Total", you'll get that.

HI David,

this wouldn't add an extra column showing that would it? I basically need all 3 numbers to show. So sub total, grand total, and then % sub total.

THank you,

HAmel

Hi Hamel,

Another option to the percent of total table calc is to put it into a calculated field. Just use the TOTAL() calculation as your denominator:

[Grand Sales Total]:

TOTAL(SUM([Sales]))

[% of total]:

SUM([Sales])/[Grand Sales Total]

See attached packaged workbook...

Thanks,

Ben

Hi,

Thanks for you response Ben,

Please see attached some sample data in excel.

The table I am trying to reach in word with an additional column showing the %.

Your way worked but because the way my table is split between quarters it wasnt working very well.

So the table is showing company x has paid x amount early however there total amount is y as they paid some late.

I hope this makes sense.

Please help!!!!
