Have you tried creating these values using calculated fields within Tableau Desktop rather than importing them with the forumas intact? Also, I would consider contacting support to determine if this is a bug or a known issue.
I have the same Issue. The strange thing is that it used to be fine but it changed al of a sudden.
Now it can't read my formulas in google sheets anymore. These are not formulas I can make in Tableau.
Withing the formula in Google Sheet pls. put the formula =iferror(<Formula in Google Original Cell>,0).
Because in formula if Null Comes Tableau will not be able to calculate. To bypass the situation Pls. use it in Google Sheet and then connect. Hope your problem get resolved.
Unfortunately this does not resolve the problem. It keeps giving me a string or when I change into Numbers a null.
Agreed. It seems to me that Tableau is no longer correctly picking up data with a formula in a google sheet. As others have mentioned, this was previously working a week ago. My assumption, given we haven't upgraded Tableau at all, is that google have changed something. They do like to make changes without telling people it seems. But long and short is the Tableau google sheets connector ain't working. The only workaround I have so far is the very tedious one of duplicating the google sheet and copy/pasting as values.
Has anyone found a resolution for this? I haven't changed anything in Tableau or Sheets and now all of a sudden they're showing as null for me too
