I have two columns in my SQL database. These are Start time and End time.
I am currently able to filter out the first start and end time by creating a LOD in a calculated field to find the min date/time for those fields and to then filter on it.
The calculation I want to perform is a subtraction of the second result from the start time (The second start time of that day) by the end time of the first result that I have filtered out.
I understand this is somewhat achievable with the use of a 'LOOKUP' function within tables.
Is there an alternative way to achieve what I am looking for in any other graph in Tableau?
This type of thing is never easy in tableau. You have a SQL back end so perhaps the best way to do it would be to create the difference field in SQL before bringing into Tableau.
