Can you please save the file in the TWBX format?
Updated. Thanks for pointing that out!
If I understand you correctly, you want the user to be able to use that handy-dandy dynamic filter on the left to modify the Profit by Sub-category to the right.
You want the user to be able to hit RESET to clear this filter. You also need the HIGHLIGHTING on the filter to disappear.
I found a way to hack it, but it isn't pretty. I just changed the background color of every entry to blue, and the text to white. This is just disguising the problem, though.
The real issue may lay in your RESET button logic. I'm not real proficient with it, but I don't think it's doing exactly what you want. I got some very strange results when I highlighted on the filter, unselected, and hit "RESET." Maybe this isn't an issue for you?
Whatever the case... I think you may need to send out the Bat Signal for some Tableau Gurus (I'm kinda feeling like a side-kick here!).
Good luck! --Michael
Thanks for that suggestion Michael, I have also stumbled across this how-to when I was finding a solution to the multi-data source problem.
Checking again the steps, I reckon this is similar to the link I posted previously, and they do pretty much the same thing.
I suppose as of the moment there is no way to fix the reset filter aesthetically other than to do what you suggested, (change filters to blue background and white text) since it seems to be the default color scheme for worksheets that are used as filters...
As for the buggy part of the dashboard, could you re-create it? I'd like to know more about the mishap it causes on your end, it might also happen with my project (I hope not ) I just want to make sure and avoid further issues with the dashboard.
Thanks for replying to my post by the way! I really appreciate it.
