Help! Measure inside measure for different data sources

    Aniket Gode

I have three measures from three different data sources.

      I have three data sources,

Transactions for pencils in year 16

Transactions for pencils in year 17

Transaction for pencils in year 18

all have different data components. (Columns are not same) so i cant merge these files ( is it possible to merge two data sources inside tableau? just specific columns?)

Size is calculated field based on the transaction size which is defined in all the data sources.

      1-9000 Small

      9000 -20000 Medium

      20,000- above large

Now I am trying to get to something like this.

      Tom $5,000 $10,000 $25,000 $6,000 11,00021,0002,20011,00021,000
      Ram$4,000 $10,000 $25,000 $7,000 12,00022,0002,30016,00025,000
      Jerry $6,000 $10,000 $25,000 $8,000 13,00023,0002,40017,000

I could not get, SML for all the three measures? As all the three measures are coming in from different data sources. \

Every time I try to add size from one of the data sources, other $ values get blank or error values

How do I tackle this in tableau?

      Thank you!!

          Hi Aniket Gode,

As you know, Data blending requires a primary data source and at least one secondary data source. When you designate a primary data source, it functions as the main table or main data source. Any subsequent data sources that you use on the sheet are treated as a secondary data source. Only columns from the secondary data source that have corresponding matches in the primary data source appear in the view.
