    Aggregate problem in a if formula

    Leslie Raillon

      I have this formula:

      If datediff('year',[date_setup],today())=1

      and

      month([date_setup])<=month(today())

      then

      [Number activations]

      end

      ...to count up to date values

      ...With this formula:

      Number of activations is: COUNTD([device_id])

      ... With by default count variable Tableau makes, I did not get on error but with Number of Activations I get this unclear message (in French so translating):  impossible to combine comparing aggregates & non aggregates or results in a if expression...

      Any idea how to get around this?

      I noticed that by default my variable aggregates and does not sum but I have no idea why...

      I am relatively new to Tableau so thanks for your help

      Regards

      Leslie
