This may be an issue with high DPI scaling in Windows. Some other users have reported similar issues with high resolution monitors. There are a couple 3rd party solutions available as possible workarounds in the following thread:
Tableau and Windows Display Scaling on High DPI 4k Monitor
High Resolution DPI Support Idea
Hope this helps!
Thank you, Brandon. It's unusual in that it is only this dropdown that is affected. Marks, filters, parameters all look fine. A gracious THANK YOU for your suggestions... let me see if anyone else pipes up before resorting to a 3rd party fix...
Well, I can't say I found an answer per se (Brandon Babbitt let me know if I'm missing part of your suggestion), but I did find a solution, of sorts.
- Go to the smushed-up menu
- Drag down, grabbing the bottom of the pane
- Drag UP, if necessary, which reverts it to a drop-down box. Tableau will not allow it to be "smushed"
I had to do this once after moving to a new laptop and changing from a VGA to DVI monitor.
