Moved to the Tableau Server forum as the folks here would be most likely to have an answer for this.
yes. there are a few ways of doing this, the simplest is to set the extracts to run on a TS schedule and then disable this schedule within TS (which essentially allow the schedule to not be triggered based on a time) and then issue a tabcmd runschedule after your autsys job completes which will then trigger the TS schedule. tabcmd Commands
Thanks for the information and its useful.
Say i have the autosys job with the below sample script
Execute procedure ABC
If i modify the script of the job like the below one
Execute procedure ABC;
tabcmd runschedule "5AM Sales Refresh"
--end of the script
I really doubt that it will run successfully. The reason behind is that how tableau will allow the external event without the userid and pwd even
though its SSO enabled.
Please correct me if i am wrong
Thanks and Regards,
you are correct. Authentication is always required.
Prior to doing the tabcmd runschedule, do a tabcmd login. And then at the end, do a tabcmd logout.
It might help to name your schedules carefully too.
tabcmd runschedule "Post sales refresh - parallel extract"
tabcmd runschedule "Post sales refresh - serial subscription"
