Yes there is a pretty easy solution to this by utilizing a modification of the solution found here: Creating a Sheet Selector for a Dashboard | Tableau Software
I have created a working version here https://public.tableau.com/views/testset/Dashboard1?:embed=y&:display_count=yes
Note that the underlying workbook is version Tableau 10.
I just created one extra sheet, added a single field to the Rows and Columns shelf and then set all the formatting to be grey. I then associated this sheet with a calculated field equal to your parameter [Minute Bin Size] and then set this on the filters shelf. Finally, I selected for all the numeric values to make the sheet appear (in the filter) while not including the value "Manual Entry" into the options. This causes the grey box to go away when this is selected. You could select something other than a grey background, I just did this color to make it obvious about what is happening.
Hi Patrick, appreciate the reply much. I understand the article u attached and what u wrote. However, I am unable to remove the parameter [Manual Entry], when the selections of other than "Manual Entry" in parameter [Minute Bin Size] is selected. I can only on and off the grey worksheet.
Tried to download your workbook to examine what I am missing but, the option to download it is disabled.
Would you be able to attach it here? Thanks!
