lenaic.ridinger Aug 8, 2016 4:12 AM (in response to shalini singh)Hi shalini singh,
Not enough storage can indicate that there is not enough contiguous RAM or temporary space.
I would advise you to reduce the number of other applications running on the computer hosting Tableau Server to eliminate memory fragmentation. If it doesn't work, please follow the directions in Changing the Default TEMP Location for Creating Extracts to change the location of the default TEMP folder.

shalini singh Aug 8, 2016 10:58 PM (in response to lenaic.ridinger)Hi Lenaic,
I have changed the temp location while creating the extract, but I am still facing the same issue because if I am sending this tbwx file to users who has only tableau reader access ,the moment they open the file in reader, extract again takes the temp location in their system and since they are using 32 bit OS the space is not much is it throwing the error.
Do we have any work around to solve this issue???

how big is your workbook? Can you hide unused fields and then optimize the extract? This should reduce the size of the workbook and may help with the RAM constraints of 32-bit.

shalini singh Aug 9, 2016 11:27 PM (in response to shalini singh)The file size is 230 MB ,and 32 bit system has some 2GB temp memory but it is still throwing that error.
Can anybody help me with this issue??
it is very critical issue.

it may be 230mb when compressed and when it's opened, then it expands. Did you try hiding unused fields and then optimizing?

shalini singh Aug 10, 2016 9:06 PM (in response to Jeff Strauss)I did both the things but it is still showing the same error while opening in reader.Do u think it will take the 2GB memory of OS to open 230 MB file??/
