Thank you for reply,
DATEPARSE('yyyyMMdd', str([Local Date ID]))
[Local Date ID] it is in number type.
I am getting Error Is:
The error is Unknown function DATEPARSE called
Dateparse is only available for a few datasources. Read here: Understanding the DATEPARSE Function | Tableau Software
What data source are you using? You can create an extract to use the DATEPARSE() syntax.
i am using SQLSERVER 11.
Thank's for sharing the link.
Any another way is there.
I haven't tested this calculation, but think it should work:
RAWSQL_DATE( "CAST( %1 AS DATE )", [Local Date ID] )

DATEADD( 'day', [yyyymmdd] % 100 - 1,
DATEADD( 'month', INT( ( [yyyymmdd] % 10000 ) / 100 ) - 1,
DATEADD( 'year', INT( [yyyymmdd] / 10000 ) - 1900,
#1900-01-01# ) ) )
Thanks. Very nice resource! ... and also nice calculation!
I am curious to know if the calculation you shared performs better than the one I shared before, although expecting both to perform well.
It would also be interesting to see if these perform better than DATEPARSE where it is supported.
