You could try and leverage Tableau Public, but there are restrictions, and its public.
The only way without Server/Online is Desktop or Reader, more here >> Workbooks for Tableau Reader | Tableau Software
Thank you for your quick answer, yes, I know the Tableau Reader, that is one of good ways to read tableau report , I just try to figure out that to open tableau report with broswer (e.g. IE) online, as need to code with some APIs, I'm not sure if is is practicable.
Sorry Devin... you have confused me
You have an existing twbx file, which you wish to open with a browser?
Or you wish to add 1 or more API sources to an existing Tableau report?
I am assuming someone else made the twbx file?
Do you have any Tableau products?
Mark, sorry, make you confused, now I have Tableau Desktop and Tableau Reader, I desgin report with Tableau Desktop and then generate .twbx file (workbooks), I know I can view the .twbx file with Tableau Reader, I just try to find out other ways to view the file without Tableaus Server, let me get this straight, is it any possible to view tableau report (.twbx file) with IE broswer online?

OK, I think i understand.

The only way i know of would be via Tableau Public (free but public), or Online (cheaper than Server, but hosted)
You create your workbook then you upload your workbook to either of the above mentioned products.
You end user could then use IE browser to open and use your workbook.
To be crystal clear - if you don't want to use Server, and you want to share twbx files online, you would have to use either Public or Online.
Hope that explains
Happy to try and clarify further if i can...
Thank you for your detailed explanation , I'm going to study how to use the Tableau Public next, thanks again!
This will give you a great start
I'm not sure the below still exists, but I wanted to make you aware of it - in case it still does, this is from (my bad) memory...
When I got my Public account... sometime back, there were 2 types - Public, and Public Premium.
My account is Public Premium.
What that meant was - although anyone can view workbooks (from either type), with my profile I can prevent workbook downloads vs public which had no control.
As mentioned, it may not exist, maybe all accounts are Premium now?!
Just thought id mention it.
Assuming you have what you need, can you mark the most helpful answer correct - it may help others in the future.
Happy to try and help further if i can
Thank you for your information, it is very kind of you , I'm studying this, and hope I can get a good solution on the Tableau Public, thanks!!
