    End of Month Sum with MTD Filter

      I'm running into an issue when using a Month To Date filter to show values at the current day of each month on top of the total values for the month. If the first transaction in a category happened after the current day number, then the monthly total shows as zero instead of the actual monthly sum. As soon as the first transaction happens, the monthly total populates correctly. Removing the filter completely shows the correct end of month total, but the MTD component is now just a total.


      How can I get the monthly total to remain constant, and the MTD values to also show properly? Unfortunately the client is dead set on the current layout of the worksheet, so it cannot be changed.
