You can convert a string field to integer like this:
But you should be able to do:
COUNTD([Client]) / COUNTD([Product])
Not sure why converting to string was necessary in the first place.

If you check the COUNTD() definition in tableau you will find that it returns integer numbers regardless of what data type its is counting. It will provide count of specific value's occurrence in the data column.
You don't need to convert anything to get your answer. You can simply do COUNTD(Numerator)/CountD(Denominator) as suggested by Joe.
