have you searched Tableau Public for these topics? Since the data on public is usually public data, this is a good place to start.
Dear Adam - I am trying to understand the question you have raised and trying to relate how can a Data Visualization tool be related to a Database. As you know that Tableau can connect to more than 50 types of databases and once you create an Extract (For most of the database you will able to do), then you are completely independent of Database.
The only challenge you face is to get a stable scalable storage of database and incrementally refresh that in Tableau.
Thank you for the responses.
I'm looking for external data sources to overlay with my existing data.
What I'm doing is - using my existing corporate data, I'm trying to understand if there is a link between my data and some external data sources.
For example, does commodity prices / FX rates affect customer sales? What are some location-based risks that I should be aware of, in relation of my work locations?
Wondering if anyone is using/found some good external reference data sources around risk management (e.g. natural disasters/outages/incidents/risks for countries/locations) and financial modeling.
I located a good commodity prices data source - www.indexmundi.com/commodities/
