# Overall Percentage Calc

Hi All,

I wondered if you could help with this one?

I've built a dashboard which does some Yes/No checks on some computer devices at work. I've currently got 4 checks running which you can see in screenshot below.

I have been trying to roll up the percentages from these 4 checks to produce another panel which would display an overall heath in a percentage score.

So for example in the Red panels I have percentage scores of 28.06, 9.09, 33.40 and 12.17. I know that I just need to add these totals up and divide by 4 to get to my Overall health percentage - however I seem to be having a tough time making a calculated field to do this. Perhaps it is blindingly obvious and I'm just not seeing it? It would be great if someone can help?

Could you share a sample workbook or some screen shots to show how the percentage is currently calculated and field names

Hi Kalid,

Hi Tony,

not sure if i have answered the question correctly, (plus the numbers in your dummy workbook don't match the ones in the image above).

Instead of averaging 4 % scores i created a calculated field that checked all 4 measures and flagged any record that failed 1 of them (so will miss double counting where 1 machine fails more than 1 test) and then created a percent that failed any - you can see in the attached workbook.

if you want to calculate a % that takes into account a machine failing 2 or more of the tests let me know and i can knock that up for you.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the fast reply. Having looked at your calc and the reasoning I think your way is a much more logical way to calculate the overall health against the 4 checks. Thanks so much I can use this in my work now. I owe you one!

File was created in 9.3

Let me know if you have any issues and I can either provide screen shots or help you downgrade
