Your date field is set to "Continuous".
I never liked this. If you have discrete dates, it lets you expand AND collapse, but not so for Continuous.
Someone else might be able to explain why this is. But if you can live with Discrete format, then that's what you need to do.
I changed to Discrete but still not able to collapse. I can only expand. I am on tableau desktop version 9.2
Post an example workbook showing the behavior you're getting. You can probably duplicate what you're doing in Superstore so that you don't have to worry about proprietary issues.
Thank Joe. I am able to see the collapse with Discrete but with this the graphs are split (each year has own graph, Quarterly has own graph etc. ) which doesn't fit our requirement. Is there any other alternate way to do this.
