I believe you have to create a parameter to change the filters. Haven't done it before, but check out;
Thank you for the links. I was able to create these parameters and my dashboard now refreshes based on the parameter value I select (as a compact list - single select dropdown), that is, User_environment or Work_environment.
What is the best way to create another generic dropdown with values A and B. That way, for example, if the user selects the parameter User_environment and the value A, my dashboard refreshes to show only User_environment A values. I can think of creating another parameter. But, how do I link the two parameters. Also, that way, can the A and B values be differentiated based on the environment chosen.
Any suggestions would help.
I created a parameter for User_environment and Work_environment values. And using the concept of hiding and popping quickfilters like - Sheet Swap and Pop in Tableau on Vimeo - this video, I created two quickfilters to show the respective A and B values on select of the environment. Is there a better way to do this?
