I can turn on grid lines for circles -- or for anything else.
See attached.(this is 8.2 and will upgrade to any version.)
Maybe you can post a stripped down workbook and if it won't turn on for you, maybe there is some obscure condition preventing it. I'd like to take a look.

Lucas Heuser Jul 8, 2016 10:59 AM (in response to Joe Oppelt)Thank you very much, your example workbook helped me figuring out the problem!
The problem was that I tried to format the borders and did not notice that there a separate option for the other lines.

You can quickly create Drop Lines that will appear when a user hovers over a dot and will direct the user to the correct x/y value.
If you want an all-out grid and these are continuous values, the Format Borders option should work: just make sure your level slider is to the far right and you've selected a dark color
If these options don't seem to do the trick, could you provide a very small .twbx?
Good luck!

There are a million little cubby-holes in this product.
And that's the beauty of this forum. Nobody can know about them all, but SOMEbody knows about the one you need. I learn something on here just about every day. Glad I could give one out today.
