Have you tried putting the aggregations on a separate sheet in a dashboard? If you then use the main sheet as a filter on the aggregate sheet you may be able to hide when selecting fields that shouldn't show aggregates.
Based upon the fact that your [Account Type] Dimension
has a "special" Member 'ALL', one could build an aggregated
"semi-SUM" Measure which sums only 'ALL' or others in one calc --
depending on the presence of [Account Type] Dimension Pill on a view.
When the pill is not on a view, the ATTR([Account Type]) gives NULL,
and the calculation behaves like your [Net Balance] calculation.
When the pill is on a view, it behaves like your [Gross Balance] one.
As for Totals, luckily this calculation behaves as one want it to,
because for the Totals the ATTR([Account Type]) is NULL, too.
Please find the attached with this calc on a Sheet 7.
Hope this could help.

Thanks, Luciano, for Helpful promo.
We'll see if it could help Kiran either.
