Please try using extract connection with twbx file format and then publish to public.
Thanks for the reply.. but we need to use live connection as we want to make changes at runtime and view the changes at the same time..with extract it wont be the same case.. let me know if i am missing anything
Error on the picture means that you have not configured your DSN correctly.
THis has has to be done on all the Server's machines (if you have multiple workers). Also, DSN has to be a Shstem one or created for the user that's running the Server.
Did you install all the drivers on all of the Server's boxes?
Thanks for the reponse.. please find the details. i am trying to publish from my desktop version. Both server and desktop are installed in my machine
1. I have installed Server using my windows user
2. Configured an admin user in tableau Server
3. I am able to run live reports in tableau desktop . But publishing data source gives the error
4. Data source (hadoop) is in a remote server
and can you let me know the step for configuring the DSN?
Can you attach your workbook? (one you have or create a new one with single field on the shelf)
I need to see how exactly are you connecting.
Also, run this and take screenshot of "User DSN", "System DSN" and "Drivers tabs":
This part looks all correct. Probably time for a support case: Submit a case to our support team | Tableau Software
We'd need to take a look at Server logs.
What account are you using to run Tableau Server?
Also, are you connecting to BigInsights? If yes - why aren't you using built-in connector?
Built in connection gives error as well.and for tableau server i am using trial version.. so just created a user and accessing it
