I think SubCategory needed to be on your Metrics Table sheet,
and so I added it to the Detail shelf, and then right-clicked and
swtiched it to being an Attribute so that it wouldn't split up your
I was having problems selecting the SubCategory using the legend,
so I instead created a separate sheet with just the SubCategory names
and a colored box. I added that into the Actions so that clicking on
that Sheet would trigger things.
I created a Filter Action SubCategory which uses the Selected Field of Subcategory.
just targets Sheet3.
I'm not sure if I got all the actions as you would like them, and there will probably
be some unintended interactions between the Customer and SubCategory Filters,
but maybe it can be a start (Dashboard2).

Are there any alternatives to drive actions without the exact field being on the target? I have lots of types of filters that could link to the action - and I can't possible add all of the potential fields to the table.
In the attached, I added some dimensions to the table (segment, manufacturer),
and then in the Edit Action window, I selected "All Fields" for the Target Filters.
Not sure if this will fully match your requirement.
