In my data set, I have some binary data. For example, the column name is Pets and the numerical value 0=none and 1=dog and 2=cat. Does anyone have experience in graphing/plotting these values? I am thinking it should be a Dimension with a legend that defines the numerical variables, maybe a histogram of some sort. Any tips would be appreciated. Much of my data is discrete (categorical and binary) and am having trouble coming up with more than one way to visualize it. Thanks!!!
Yes I agree it should be a dimension as it would never make sense to aggregate these values. You can just simply drag it up to the dimension section and it will convert to such as Tableau initially thinks it is a measure because of the values. You can also alias the values in this dimension or any dimension.
