This can be implemented using the tabcmd commands + Batch scripting
I have tried using tabcmd command but unable to achieve. Could you please help me out.
I have tried with below steps but cudnt able to achieve. Please help me out.
Tabcmd login -s "<Server Path> -t " ****" -u "****" -p "****" --no-certcheck
Tabcmd get / <url-of-view>.pdf -f TestReport.pdf --no-certcheck
febootimail.exe -SMTP ***** -TO " " -FROM *****
-SUBJECT "Generated Tableau View" -ATTACH " D:\Users\TestReport.pdf" –BODY “this is the text of the body”
Little bit confused with the path ($th Line). Do I need to place a empty pdf file or?
Please show the entire script. For user/password use fake values (e.g. -u "user"). Same goes for the server name (e.g. "http://myserver.com/"). This is so we can see the actual path you're using. Using <url-of-view>.pdf doesn't help because the URL you are using may be wrong but we won't know that if we don't see its representation.
If you are using the "default" site then don't include it in your login.
I'm assuming the 4th line is a continuation of the 3rd line so in your batch script it looks like this:
febootimail.exe -SMTP ***** -TO " " -FROM ***** -SUBJECT "Generated Tableau View" -ATTACH " D:\Users\TestReport.pdf" –BODY “this is the text of the body”
If you are running this on a different computer than the Tableau Server then make sure the version is the same as the Tableau Server's version.
Nevermind, you already asked this question in the Server Admin forum:
