The ####### is tableau not being able to show the data values.
Have you set the data to be centre middle so that the data is directly in the centre of the cell.
this should work the width may need adjustment too.
hope this helps
This maybe of no interest, but I would suggest having a look at this blog
I am not providing the link in direct response to your formatting question (although it may help)
I'm providing it because if you need to worry a lot about display in Tableau, then this is an excellent (the best?) technique for getting back control.
Hope its helpful for you, I use it a lot.
Thanks but not quite the same issue. My issue is being caused because I'm trying to dictate different number formats for different rows in the same measure. It seems with yours you do not have this and so were able to use automatic alignment and center if I'm understanding your solution correctly.
Thanks. This does look like what I'm essentially doing. I'm going to reach out to Dan and see if there is a way to solve my alignment problem. You find a solution that fixes one thing only to have it create a new problem.
Can you share sample workbook, if possible?

I would hope that the MIN(1) formatting trick may help not only with the alignment, but also the display.
As far as I know, that technique should give you maximum control over formatting and placing because you effectively create blank cells and fill each individually.
If Dan doesn't get back, you're very welcome to ask for help here in the forum
