# How to calculate % of Total for Aggregate Measures?

Hello Helpers,

I have an aggregate measure, which is a ratio (could be greater than 1). When I try to calculate % of Total, I am not getting the expected result.

Below is the screenshot of just the measure (without the table calc).

Below is the screenshot of the measure with the % of total calculation. I added table calc and chose table down.

I expected the measure to be scaled to 100%, but then this is very wayward! Please tell me what I am missing here!

Thanks,

Ramesh

The ratio which you've used is exceeding the threshold more than 100% that's why you're not getting the viz you wanted.

You're trying to get below attached viz which can be possible using the only one measure. To get this just add table calculation on that measure then choose % of total then compute using category.

With your current viz you can add table calculation on that ratio then choose % of total then compute using category. You'll get below view.

Other option you can fixed the axis using edit axis start with 0 to 1 but it will give the wrong picture.

Wrong viz will come

I hope you get my point.

Feel free to ask If you've any query.

Hi Mahfooj,

What I am looking for is something like the 1st viz using the Aggregate Measure. Is that not possible? It should be possible I believe! Please let me know if there's any way we can get that.

Thanks,

Ramesh

I've attached you the possible scenarios. I don't think this can be possible. Either you've to live with your own view or you should create desired viz using any one measure like numerator or denominator.
