    Customising a 'Workbook Locale'

    Maria Camilleri

I would like to have the number formatting system wherein the number 'two thousand point 89' is represented as 2.000,89. I know I can get this by setting the workbook locale to German (Germany) for example but then that means that all dates appear in German, even if I set the Language (from Help > Choose Language) to English. There are no English language based locales which allow me to do this.

Does anyone know of a way in which I can edit the number formatting system or the locale to have the decimal point = comma and thousand separator = dot please?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
