# Adding Custom Shapes with Table Calculation

Hi,

I have this table below which has a % calculation for the previous 2 weeks.

I wanted to find the % difference between the 2 rows for each GRP so I used a table calculation of % difference for pane down.  See below:

What I'd really want is to show an arrow UP for +ve numbers and an arrow DOWN for -ve numbers.  Any ideas please help!

Thanks.

Annie

Hello Annie - Use the Marks Type as Shape. You may Create a Folder under My Tableau Repository\Shapes and that will be available in the Shape Selection as well.

Thanks,

HI Annie Lum ,

Create  a calculation like this and put it in the shapes mar and select the appropriate shapes .

IF ZN(SUM([Sales])) – LOOKUP(ZN(SUM([Sales])),-1) < 0 THEN “Down”ELSEIF ZN(SUM([Sales])) – LOOKUP(ZN(SUM([Sales])),-1) = 0 THEN “Same”

ELSEIF ZN(SUM([Sales])) – LOOKUP(ZN(SUM([Sales])),-1) > 0 THEN “Up”

ELSE “n/a”

END
