Can you import milliseconds as it's own field / column?
Then you could plot it as a discrete field.

I'm connecting from mongo.. Mongo has this millisecond part... but when i connect source to Tableau, Tableau doesn't recognize the milisecond part, it is only showing HH:MM:SS format, no millisecond part...
When you're connecting to tableau do you able to see the milliseconds part in your field?
I guess no . I would suggest do some data massage at database level to extract the millisecond part in different field then create a calc field to concatenate the date field and millisecond field then show in tool-tip.
May be you can get some good answers from other users.

ok thats secondary..
I don't want to make this specific to Date&Time field.. But if we have multiple responses for particular dimension/measure at a given data point, we will get this " * " in tooltip.. How can we avoid getting " * " and tooltip should show those multiple reponses for a given datapoint..
You can refer this link to get the idea.
If this helps then mark helpful/correct our replies also so that we could get the points too
