However, I will also mention that it may be worth creating mobile-specific versions of the dashboards. This will make it easier to track mobile consumption of the data reporting, but it will also enable you to design a more mobile-friendly view resulting in an overall better experience for the dashboard consumer.

To take Nathaniel's advice a little bit further, you'll find that the http_requests table has an http_user_agent which should work nicely. Try something like this:
count(*) as CountOfAgent
GROUP BY http_user_agent
Thanks for the query, I ran it but it comes back with quite a long string of data. Is there documentation on what each part of the string represents. In example below I have two ipad device entries. One states Safari at the end and the other TableauMobile. Does that mean the 2nd version users really used the App while the first one users just used safari webbrowser on their mobile device. I like to categorize those separately.
