if you remove the filters (i.e. event name and elapsed time) and add in event name (to the rows shelf), it will show you all the details that you want to be able to see. It may be non-sensical details, but maybe it will lead to something.

yep. Many of us have asked Tableau support for more details on what it all means. In any case, have you followed the performance best practices? http://www.tableau.com/sites/default/files/whitepapers/designing-efficient-workbooks.pdf
And what version are you on? Tableau 9.x has many enhanced caching features that you may be reaping the benefit for the 2nd through n times.
Can you supply a copy of the workbook? Or tell us more such as how many datasources, are there lots of window calcs, is there data blending, etc?
doing what in whitepaper i was able to shrink all processing times with exception on that period highlighted in the image of my 1st post.
Im using tableau server 9.1.0. Unfortunately i cannot share workbook because the data is sensitive. I do a connection to oracle, an extract, and i do mapping.
