    Tableau Offline Maps

      Happy Friday !!

I read from the Tableau manual that the Map published as offline in Tableau server needs a refresh after 30 days and Tableau does that to prevent the maps from been outdated.

Now my question is we never had an experience with offline maps published in Tableau Server. What is going to happen after 30 days if i publish the maps as offline. Will the dashboard fail? or will it throw an error message asking me to connect the maps?

also is there any alternative for this?

Note:- The big picture is we are trying to avoid hitting Tableau background map as that is slowing the dashboard and we are trying to find the next best alternative solution to have the map without hitting Tableau background map.
