Thanks for bringing this up! I tested this out and was unable to reproduce the behavior you're describing in Tableau Desktop 9.3 and Tableau Server 9.3
Could you maybe share screenshots of this issue?
Also has the workbook in question been published to Tableau Server before? Can you create a new workbook for the purposes of testing this issue, and see if you're able to reproduce this behavior with a workbook which has never been published to Server before? I am running into the same issue in 9.3 desktop and server. It happens on select worksheets. I will submit a case rather than posting my workbook or screenshot.

I am encountering the same issue also. And it keeps happening today. Referring to the screenshot, for two quick filter, the apply button just disappear upon publishing, as shown in the preview. However, one quick filter still has the apply button though.
This is a feature that my team appreciate a lot but it is not working anymore... Hope that Tableau Support team can look into it! Thank you so much!

After struggling with it for quick some time, I found a quick fix:
- Using Tableau Desktop, set the up quick filters to "show apply button"
- Save the workbook and quit it without publishing
- Reopen the workbook, make sure that the apply button are still there, but do not make any other changes on the quick filter
- Publish the workbook then you should see the Apply button on your server's workbook.
It is working for me so far and hope this helps!

As Rachel noted earlier, this is something worth bringing to the attention of Support. Especially the detailed workaround you found. That workaround may actually help them diagnose why this is occurring.

Yea I am drafting the case to be submitted to Tableau Support too. Hope that could be fixed soon.
Kudo for figuring this out. It's been frustrating me for weeks.
I have been experiencing it as well. Thanks to Jack it looks like there is a work around. I did have to save and close twice but it ultimately worked.
Either way it is a definite bug and I'm curious how the cases have gone.
I am also facing similar sort of problem.
But, in my case the drop downs are the Parameters. Please suggest what should i do here?
Sadly this solution did not work for me. At first the apply button was there, but after navigating away from the main dashboard and coming back it disappeared. The one thing I've noticed is that if I click the Full Screen button on Server the apply buttons will always show up. So I suppose it's something to do with screen real estate.
Edit - Tableau 10.3
If it's a 10.3 bug, it's probably not a related issue to the 9.3 bug. I'm sure if you upgrade to the next minor version of 10.3, it'll be corrected. Definitely not an issue in 10.4.2.
