Creating a hexagon map using the HEXBINX and HEXBINY functions

    Stephen Lavery

I was inspired by the Tablaeu Viz of the Day from last Friday: Historical US Presidential Elections | Tableau Public

I'd like to create a similar hexagon map using the superstore data. So far, I understand I can't use the generated latitude and longitude so I've blended the superstore data source with the actually latitude and longitude for each state.

I've found a few resources online but I'm having trouble applying them to my own example: Hexbins in Tableau - The Information Lab

Attached is the example I'm working on with the superstore data. Any help would be much appreciated.

      Kind Regards,
