I found that one but doesn't that take the label as a row or column and not as a mark? In this instance, since I'm using a map, doesn't the latitude and longitude have to act as the columns and rows?

you are right.
If you have data coming through SQL then you can use stuffing. that is what i have done in my workbooks. XML stuffing can solve issues.
Or you can create a drill down using actions. where users can click on zip code and you can show the list of business names at the bottom.
you can create table or Text chart.
Thanks! I'm not familiar with actions yet but now I'll look into that and see if I can make that work. It certainly sounds like the right answer!
Dashboard actions allows you to filter another sheet from one sheet by clicking. you just have to drag 2 sheets on your dashboard and use the actions.
If you want tool tip like feature then you can use Action on hover. That will filter you bottom sheet as soon as you hover over zip code.
and in default action, use exclude all values option.
