Calculating Total Percentage

Hello,

I'm having a problem calculating % totals. The "% Kept" is "[Kept]/([Kept]+[Set])". It's working for the individual people, but it's not calculating correctly for the subtotals nor grand totals. Is there a calculation or formatting that can fix that?

Thanks!

Correct formula is

[%Kept (copy)]

sum([Kept])/(sum([Kept])+sum([Set]))

9 out of 10   90%

2 out of 20   10%

case -1 :  sum of (90%,10%) = 100%  <== Incorrect

case -2 :  sum of (9,2) 11 out of sum of (10,20)  30 = 37%   <== Correct

Thanks,

Shin

Thanks! I'm also trying to "color code" the % Kept that is >= 90% Green. I tried using this formula, but I keep getting an error:

IF [% Kept] >=90% then "Green"

ELSE "White"

End

Do I need change the expression ( like something before the %kept,  or is the formula incorrect ).

Correct

if [%Kept (copy)] >= .9 then "Green" END

Incorrect

if %[%Kept (copy)] >= 90% then "Green" END

"%" has different meaning in the formula.

% (modulo)

This calculates a numeric remainder. For example, 5% 4 = 1.
