    Calculating differences WITHIN a variable

    Kathryn Bridges

      Hi all,

I've been using Tableau for a while, but I've got a head scratcher here..

Say that we are particularly interested in two customers, and we want to know the DIFFERENCE in their sales for each month in which they both made a sale. How do we do this?

Essentially, I just want a line graph that shows me the difference between their two sales at every point in time.

I've tinkered with Table Calcs but I can't seem to get them to work properly.

I've made an example here using superstore data. Thanks!
