Hi Dan Berbece,
I believe this error is due to a proxy server denying Tableau Server access to local files.
Have you tried working with your IT team in order to troubleshoot and resolve this connectivity issue through the proxy server?
I actually had that problem a week before and it was fixed then. I'd be curious if there is any way to translate the cryptic error message I keep getting. I've skimmed over the log files, server side, but found absolutely nothing to clarify this issue.
Can you search for the session ID Vt2JFQoSRQoAAA3kklsAAAJQ in server logs and upload a screenshot of what you found? You can attach screenshot by clicking "advanced editor" on top right corner of your post.
Another alternative is to submit a free tech support case to Tableau. Technical Support Services FAQs | Tableau Software
Can you let us know if you have found anyting related to session ID or not?
I've searched the logs in \Tableau\Tableau Server\logs and found no mention of that string.
Should I understand that it's a session id? And the error mesage says that "Session ID Vt2JFQoSRQoAAA3kklsAAAJQ encountered an unknown error"?
Ok can you please goto
"workgroup" PostgreSQL database .
and execute Select * from sessions where sessionid='Vt2JFQoSRQoAAA3kklsAAAJQ '
My Syntax may be wrong but this is the way to go..
