I'm trying to get an accurate count of customers by which subcategory they placed the most orders in. Please find attached a sample using superstore as an example.
If you've looked at the workbook, you'll notice that the "total" in the tool tip in Sheet 1 does not reflect the actual view; instead, it reflects the total as though Sheet 1 was Sheet 2. I understand why tableau is not giving me the "right" number, but I don't understand how to make it give me the total as shown in the sheet 1 view.
Ideally, I would like to have a calculated field which will return the total number of customers with a given subcategory as their top subcategory, which will respond to any filters thrown onto the view.
Please tell me if I'm being delusional or if this is something I could create.
