I found this information which may help!
Starting with Tableau verion 9.1, Tableau Maps use an SSL connection on port 443 to connect to the default map server.
Because of this change, it is necessary to allow outbound connections on port 443 on any firewall between the VM and the Internet.
After enabling outbound communication on port 443, the certificate for this SSL communication may need to be installed. I believe the missing certificate is the following:
Thawte Primary Root CA – G3 (SHA256)
And it can be downloaded from the Thawte website:
Thanks Diego for the info. The workaround for now was to use offline map. We have our tableau admin working on the issue. Thanks again.
