Graphing: combining two values into one; to give one line on a Line Graph

    mark schukas

I have a field (Field I) with three different values (A, B, and C) in the rows.

I create a Line graph for Field I vs. Date (works well), but when I put Field I on the Filter, I get three lines and I only want two

(A and B represent the same Area and I would like to combine in the graph, so one line for A and B combined and one line for the values of C)

how can I combine the two different values in Field I into one in order to show as one line on the graph?

      ???

      thank you.
