Create a separate tableau Data source (.tds) with the connection to sql server and publish it to the server. You Can use this to create multiple dashboards.
When it comes to 7 queries, You can create custom SQL and use that as a table in the schema. There is no limitation on how many number of Custom SQL as tables.
Please let me know if you need any help, I can explain you in detail. Please let me know your contact number.
So do I need to create 7 separate connections with custom SQL and then join them all at Tableau level ?
Can you let me know how to proceed, and share screenshots or a sample ?
I have been able to connect to the database execute separate queries and join them.
Now the problem is the data is taking too long to pull from SQL. It takes close to 4 hours. How to extract the data faster ?
How to fix the connecction issue
Make sure that you don't have any many to many joins and/or cross joins
What's the expected data volume?
Let me check that part. Data volume right now it is pulling up is around 30,492,800 (In Progress)
The joins are same as defined in excel connection. So need to check if there are any cross joins here.
