    Server 9.2 is unable to refresh any Hive/Impala extracts

      Hello,

      Our Tableau Server 9.2 installation is unable to refresh any extracts. All of our extracts are pulled from either Cloudera Impala or Hive.

       

      This is the error that we are getting:

      com.tableausoftware.nativeapi.dll.DataSourceException: Tableau expected to find driver version 2.5.0 or later to connect using Impala, but version 0.0.0 is installed

      All of the appropriate ODBC drivers are already installed on the Server and the System DSN settings are configured exactly as they were on our 9.0 installation. We are running ODBC driver version 2.05.29 for Impala and 2.05.14 for Hive.

      9.2 is currently sitting on a staging environment and all content and settings have been ported over from 9.0.

       

      As a test I installed Tableau Desktop on the 9.2 server and I am able to succesfuly connect to Impala and Hive, run custom SQL, and create extracts.
      Also, when I run the 'Test Connection' on tableau server, the tests for the Impala and Hive connections are successful.

       

      Any ideas as to why Server is not recognizing the ODBC drivers?
