Grouping values from column into a calculated field

      Hi All,

I have a hopefully easy question I'm hoping someone can answer but I'm sorry to say it really has me stumped.

I've got a dimension called Location Name which has 6 locations in of UK Cities.

      Manchester

      Newcastle

      Leeds

      London

      Bristol

      Cambridge

I want to use a calculated field or any other method in Tableau which would let me split the dimension values into a North Cities dimension which would contain Manchester, Newcastle and Leeds and a South Cities Dimension which would contain London, Bristol and Cambridge. I've been trying to write something based on IF [Location Name] = Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle Then 'North Cities' End

Sadly this hasn't worked - can anyone help me out on where I may be going wrong?

      Thanks
