    Implementing Nested Parameters

    ali twaij

Good news, I’ve worked out a way to do nested parameters (I used to call them dynamic parameters but this has caused confusion). Please replace dynamic with Nested everywhere you see dynamic. Thanks

You select a category on one parameter and the second parameter updates with the subcategories (nearly automatically). Some manual intervention needed but small. Will try to publish the solution soon but basically you use a calculated field that returns a field name depending on the parent parameter. The second parameter then must gets its values from the calculated field (via get Values from Field option). You do this manually but its quite fast and very usable. Was very happy to discover this as this feature is so useful to have.
