If you are an Administrator, check if the Enable Subscription is selected in admin tab of your Site.
Else please contact your administrator to help on enabling it.
I already changed the configuration setting on Tableau Server.
Actually , i have created two different dashboard from a single table.
1. In first dashboard, the subscription sign appeared.
2. But in second dashboard, that i have created yesterday. I couldn't see any subscription sign.
I already enable the subscription setting.
But, still i am unable to see subscription sign.
This has happened to me at least five times in the past. It is always one of the problems listed on the second link Mark provided:
Go through that list point by point in detail, and your problem should be solved. Since you already said that it was working on another workbook, I suspect either credentials are not being embedded on the newer workbook, or perhaps all Subscription schedules were disabled.
In Tableau server configuration.
1. I already enabled the Email subscription.
2. I log in through the admin user and published two different dashboard in same project.
3. From admin setting, My Account setting :- email id ( i also put my email id)
Still , i am facing the same problem.
Could you confirm that you've followed these instructions as well, Aman? I think they are the only ones you haven't mentioned yet:
Credentials embedded or not required: From Tableau Server's perspective, a subscription includes a workbook, data, and a schedule. To deliver the data piece, Tableau Server needs to be able to access the data with no end-user involvement. This can be accomplished by using either a workbook with embedded database credentials, a Tableau Server data source, or by using data that doesn't require credentials, such as a file that's included with the workbook at publish time. Workbooks that prompt for credentials for live database connections can't be subscribed to.
No trusted authentication: If Tableau Server is configured for trusted authentication, subscriptions are disabled. Trusted authentication, in combination with Tableau's Local Authentication, creates a "sign-in free" yet authenticated experience for end-users. To create this same experience and use subscriptions, use Active Directory (with Enable automatic login) as the user authentication type instead. You choose the user authentication type during Setup. See Configure Tableau Server for details.
yes, i am also following the same instructions as you instruct me.I unchecked the Trusty Authenticate. But, still no subscription sign there.
Thank you everyone for your support.
I solved the issue now..
Well don't leave us hanging, man! What was the problem???
The problem was in connection of Data Source on Tableau Server
I just used Data source connection as embedded Connection. Then automatically, subscription appeared on Dashboard.
