Got a screenshot? Also try clicking the caret in the upper right corner of the sheet, and then Fit, then pick a type of fit.
Thanks for replying.
1. Picture 1: In the below image, my First data is EID, but as i keep adding columns the view keeps truncating.
2. Picture 2: This is the dashboard, again the truncated sheet is displayed when I have more space to the right. And also how can i get rid of the "abc" column at the end as I am using only the Dimensions and none of the Measures?
Found the answer to the 1st point. Can you please help me on the 2nd question.
Excellent, glad to help!
Can you help me with this
s it possible to create buttons to act as filters and change worksheets according to the filter in a single dashboard?
I am creating a filter Option 1 and Option 2.
When i choose Option 1, I should display Type, Category
when i choose Option 2, I should display Type, Category, Sub-category within a given date
Should I have 2 worksheets for these 2 options or a single worksheet is fine?
3. is it possible to create a check box that could serve as a filter?
4. Can we create a text box that allows users to type in the dashboard.
For the Button and Filters question - I think you would be better server with two worksheets and a parameter to switch between the two. - Tableau Tip: Change the chart type of a single chart with a parameter
You can set the filters to be check boxes:
There is no write-back functionality in Tableau (supported), so what would the Textbox be for? You could embed a Google Form in a dashboard (I'm doing this as a feedback form at the moment)/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your reply. I will try working on the solution you just provided.
So the purpose of the text box is to let the viewer type his/her name in the box.
Is it also possible to embed a functionality(like a import button) in the report which allows users to download the report and save it as .pdf? and how it gets saved is the name typed in the box plus .pdf.
Once again, thank you very much for guiding me.
At the bottom of the worksheet/dashboard there is a toolbar that has an export to PDF, but using a Google form as I stated the data in the form isn't picked up.
