There are two "meetups" for higher education during the Tableau conference this year in Las Vegas. I hope to see some of you there!
Join us for this opportunity to connect with other Tableau users and your peers in both K12 and Higher Education. See and hear what other education organizations are achieving by using Tableau. During the meetup, you’ll have time for general networking and more in-depth table conversations while enjoying drinks and light appetizers.
When: 5:00pm to 6:00pm
Where: Producers Pool, Pool Deck
This meeting will begin with announcements and updates from the Education Tableau User Group Leader, Robert Else the Sr. Director of Institutional Assessment, Research and Planning at Santa Barbara City College. Then Chris Shaffer, Director of Institutional Effectiveness at Shawnee State University will present on IPEDS and retention. He will use data to answer key external challenges. For example, which other universities offer the same programs? Are we an affordable option in our region? What is unique about our institution? Chris will take complicated publicly available government data and decipher the information in a meaningful, perhaps even exciting manner using Tableau. Chris will also use Tableau to analyze retention data. He will use Tableau to determine which students’ need assistance and how you can form the foundation for a strong student retention effort. This will also be a chance for you to meet and networking with other Education Tableau User Group members.
When: 11:45am to 12:45pm
Where: CC 201, Conference Center Level 2
